The Claflin Altar Society is vital to Immaculate Conception Parish as well as the community.  All adult women of the parish are members.

Our major fundraiser is our fall supper on the Fourth Sunday in September.  It takes all the members of the Altar Society to make everything come together and work smoothly.

Some of the services the Altar Society provides is preparing and serving funeral dinners, taking care of First Friday breakfasts, Senior Citizen Bingo, taking care of the altar and candles, providing cookies for the May crowning and Vacation Bible School, delivering Christmas baskets to the shutins, and having a reception for graduating seniors and confirmation candidates.

The Altar Society provides scholarships, supports PSR and Youth Ministry, and donated toward the handicapped bleachers at the football field.  Christmas funds are distributed to our volunteers as well as monies toward the After Prom party, and many other parish projects.

The Altar Society is equally active in community activities such as bloodmoblile, meals on wheels, World Day of Prayer, and many other projects.
