Immaculate Conception Council #1500 was rechartered February 1, 1920. Now in its 89th year, the council is currently involved in many activities in our church and community. Some of these activities include helping our PSR classes thru our Religious Education Fund, sponsoring seminarians thru Adopt-a-Seminarian program, donating funds for the church and parish center up keep, sponsoring scholarships for our high school, raising funds for commitment to Humanities Tootsie roll Campaign, sponsoring Pro-Life programs, helping assist victims of disaster, holding free throw contest for our youth, meals for community auctions, assist with Stations of the Cross during Lent and other events of the parish. Our lively and fun fundraisers include our annual golf tournament during Memorial Day Weekend, annual breakfast during Thanksgiving weekend and yearly mixed social. K. of C HOLDS FREE THROW CONTEST
Claflin K of C #1500 held the council free throw contest on January 24 and hosted District competition on February 7, at Claflin High School gym. Council winners going on to district were: Kylie Holmes - 10, Kaylyn Oberle - 12, Breanna Holmes - 13, Lee Letourneau - 10, Troy Schulte - 11, Brady Rugan - 12 and Konner Hickel - 14. Immaculate Conception Church winners of District and advansing to Regionals February 21 at Tipton were: Kaylyn Oberle, Evan Liebl and Emily Hitschmann. |
