St. Joseph Catholic School will celebrate Catholic Schools Week January 30 through February 1. This year's theme is Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.
The week will start with an Opening Mass on Sunday, January 30 at 10:30 am. There will be an Open House immediately after mass, complimented by the Knights of Columbus Soup Sampler in the Parish Center from 11 am to 1 pm. The Open House is a great opportunity for students and teachers to showcase their talents to parents and the parish.
Each day of the week, students are encouraged to dress for the daily theme including Lazy Day, Wacky, Day and Dress-Up Day. Daily activities are celebrated based on themes as well. On Monday, for the theme of In Our Community, students will be playing BINGO with Senior Citizens. On Tuesday, when the theme is In Our Students, students are invited to display their talents in a school-wide talent show. Other activities include creating cards for our Veterans and Diocesan Priests and Sisters, and the school favorite: the Father Klein Scavenger Hunt!
The week ends with a Grandparents' Mass on Friday, February 4, followed by classroom visits and lunch.
Catholic Schools Week is a wonderful opportunity for St. Joseph Catholic School to celebrate its students, teachers, and Parish, all while recognizing the gifts a Catholic education provides. Parish members are welcome to attend activities and events. A link to the full schedule will be posted on the school website once it is finalized.
