Spring Fundraiser

The St. Joseph Catholic School Spring Fundraiser is held each year in February or March, depending on the start of Lent.  This event features a variety of themes and activities, which may include a Mardi Gras celebration, shrimp boil, or another creative food and entertainment theme.  

The fundraiser provides a fun opportunity for families, parishioners, and community members to gather together while supporting St. Joseph Catholic School.  The evening typically includes themed games, a gift basket raffle, and other activities that encourage fellowship and participation.

Funds raised through this event help support the needs of the school, including educational resources, special projects, and other priorities that benefit our students and school community.

German Buffet

The German Buffet is held the first Sunday in November each year. Families of St. Joseph Catholic School prepare and serve a delicious meal featuring German sausage, pork and kraut, hot German potato salad, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and a variety of desserts.  

In conjunction with the buffet, a raffle is held featuring a grand prize of $1,000.00, along with numerous additional prizes including cash, gift certificates, and much more.

Proceeds from the German Buffet and raffle help support St. Joseph Catholic School by funding building upkeep, facility improvements, and major purchases such as new textbooks and other educational resources.

Scrip Sales

St. Joseph Catholic School families are required to purchase $300 in Scrip each month.  Families who choose not to participate in the monthly Scrip Program may opt out by paying a one-time $300 Scrip buyout fee at the time of enrollment.

Gift cards are available through the school and parish offices for local and popular retailers, including Ellinwood Family Foods, Ellinwood Packing Plant, Walmart, and Amazon.  

St. Joseph Catholic School also participates in the RaiseRight Scrip Program, which provides access to gift cards from hundreds of national retailers, restaurants, gas stations, home improvement stores, travel companies, and online merchants.  Gift cards are available as physical cards or convenient eGift cards through the RaiseRight mobile app or website, making is easy to shop whenever and wherever you need.

Every gift card purchase earns a rebate from the retailer, and those rebates directly benefit St. Joseph Catholic School.  By simply using gift cards for purchases you would make anyway, your everyday spending helps support Catholic education.

All members of St. Joseph Parish are encouraged to participate in our Scrip Program.  Purchasing gift cards is an easy way to support our school at no additional cost while helping provide valuable resources for our students and families.
