Students in grades 5/6/7/8 may participate in band through the Ellinwood public school system. Classes are held in the high school band room in conjunction with public school classes.

Students in grades K-6 participate in music at St. Joseph Catholic School. Music programs are presented at Christmas and in the spring. Students in grades 7 and 8 participate in music through public school elective classes.

The local Knights of Columbus council sponsors a vocation poster contest each year. Students in grades K-8 create a poster based upon a nationwide theme to increase vocations.
