    Lawrence J. "Larry" Siefers, 78, loving husband, father, grandpa, and brother, died at Ellinwood District Hospital on August 11, 2019, surrounded by his family. Larry was president and owner of Larry's Welding Service in rural Ellinwood and was a lifetime Ellinwood resident. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellinwood, and a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years. He was proud to have been named Knight of the Year in 2009.     Arthur E. Huslig, 83, passed away in Elinwood, KS on August 26, 2019. Born in Great Bend, KS on January 14, 1936 he was the son of Anton F. and Louise (Maneth) Huslig. He graduated from Cunningham High School in 1953 and later married Mercedes Hoffman in Great Bend, KS on April 27, 1963. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2016.     On August 4, 2019, St. Joseph Parish held its annual parish picnic in conjunction with the St. Joseph Catholic School Parent's meeting. Parish members and students enjoyed the return to the potluck meal organized by the Pastoral Council. Parish members mingled with school families while new teachers and new families were welcomed. The highlight of the evening was annual egg toss competition. This year's competition boasted record participation numbers and the newly crowned champions were Mark and Heather Panning.
